Bronze Casting Workshop
A Fraser Coast First

24 September – 5 October 2012

Alpha31 Art Gallery & Sculpture is now accepting applications for the above Bronze Casting Workshop. Be early and take advantage of the ‘early bird specials’.

Alpha31 is excited to have secured internationally renowned sculptor, Vlase Nikoleski, to conduct this Workshop. Vlase is the recipient of 18 major awards and his sculptures are part of public collections at the Australian National Gallery in Canberra, Museum of Modern Art Heide, National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, Mildura Arts Centre of Prilep, National Gallery of Macedonia, Henry Moore Sculpture Park in Bretton Hall West Bretton UK, to name a few. With his teaching skills in Fine Art spanning 35 years, including 8 years at the Canberra School of Art, Australian National University, he currently is Emeritus Professor of Fine Art at the University of Newcastle, NSW.

Workshop students will be able to complete 2 sculptures, which will be cast at the renowned Olds Foundry, Maryborough and also with Vlase at Alpha31. Participants will be able to see Foundry Processes in Bronze Casting which will prove beneficial in their future artistic endeavours.

Well known Fraser Coast artist, Monika Bayer will be the Assistant Tutor.

Application Forms can be downloaded from www.alpha31artgallery.com.au. Prices include morning and afternoon tea, and lunch.
